Firma is a new public space dedicated to creating and making, located right next to the Brussels Canal. They asked 10 different creatives to design a table top for the space. These are my 2 designs!
They will dedicate over 2000 m2 to shared workshops, machines, tools, storage, studios, deskspace and an onsite café. It's an affordable and flexible workspace built for independent makers, designers and small creative businesses.

Divatex Home Fashions X Specht Studio

Divatex Home Fashions (Manhattan, New York) was founded in 1991 and became a subsidiary of the Himatsingka Group (India) in 2007. Himatsingka, a vertically integrated Home Textile giant, leads the industry in design, development, and manufacturing of Home Textile products. As a group, they operate amongst the largest capacities in the world for upholstery fabrics, drapery fabrics, and bed linen products. Divatex asked Specht Studio to collaborate with them on a small line of duvet covers and decorative pillows. As we speak they are busy with creating the prototypes to present to their retailers (Bloomingdale's and Macy's) at the end of march 2015.
